I started in the MICU in 1979. I have been very involved with teaching/ preceptor/ mentorship during those years.

Capstone preceptorship virtual and in person. I currently work gerontology, homehealth and a mix of management. I have experience in medical surgical procedures as well.

I'm flexible and open to virtual guidance evenings, weekends and some days.

Currently employed as a clinical instructor with WGU in Elko, NV.

Level 1 Trauma Certified Adult Academic Health Center. Supports Adult trauma, Orthopaedics, Neurosurgery, ENT, CV, PV, General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Robotics, Breast, Plastics, and Oral/Maxillary.

Preceptorship supports BSN and MSN students seeking leadership, research, or education clinical hours. Preceptor is MSN prepared working as a Nursing Development Specialist with a background in the OR, Infection Prevention, Healthcare Quality, and Perioperative Leadership with multiple published research studies, professional nursing presentations, and decades of volunteerism. Flexible clinical hours, networking skills, and identifying resources are a focus of this preceptorship.

Fast-paced and acute cardiovascular intensive care CVICU setting. Only Heart-Lung transplant program in Georgia. Patients receive multiple high acuity therapies including: various mechanical cardiac assist devices (Impella, IABP), continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), and ECMO.

This preceptorship will occur on weekends only. RN/BSN students only.

Administrative and Nursing Leadership

Experienced nurse leader who has extensive acute care, perioperative and administrative leadership experience available for precepting and mentorship via virtual access (email, video meetings, phone).
